Wal-Mart is disrupting our system.
If you were in China and working for the Wal-Mart factory you would be paid$0.18 cents an hour. And every time an inspector comes to check for bad hospitality or bad treatment the workers would be given fake pay slips and be told to say nothing and smile a lot.
Did you know that in 2004 there were over 30 crimes in the parking lot of Wal-Marts. Now I am sure that some of the people that are reading this have seen a bunch of "cameras are watching" signs. The people in charge of security thought they could just discourage crime and not have to do anything. The signs do not always discourage criminals.
One Wal-Mart got a subsidy to go in a specific place and build a Wal-Mart. Now there was a deal made between the town and Wal-Mart that the Wal-Mart would have a tax break for five years. Before they had to pay tax bills they moved 2.2 miles away out of the border so they didn't have to pay for the tax bills.
